ABSTRACT

Objective To screen preponderant arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi species from Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis seedlings based on mycorrhiza viability, rhizome biomass, and active components. Methods After 28 exogenous species of AM fungi were inoculated in sterilized soil, the effects of the mycorrhiza viability of seedling, the biomass in rhizome, the total amount of polyphyllins in single whole seedling, the amount of polyphyllins in rhizome, and the amount of nucleosides in rhizome of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis were observed by inoculation test in pot at room temperature. Results All the 28 AM groups formed well mycorrhizal structure, the mycorrhiza viability of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis seedling was enhanced, but it showed preference. Most of the AM treatment groups could improve the biomass in rhizome, the contents and yields of polyphyllins increased, which implied that the accumulation of polyphyllins and nucleosides in P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis seedling were enhanced after inoculation. AM also changed polyphyllins and nucleosides allocation in different organs of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis seedling in the secondary metablism, the total amount of four kinds of polyphyllins in rootlet were higher than those in rhizome, but the total amount of nine kinds of nucleosides in rhizome were higher than rootlet. Conclusion The performance of different AM strains in this study is of great reference for further improving the biological quantity and quality of the screening of preponderant AM fungi species from P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis seedlings. Gigaspora gigantean, Scutellospora calospora, Diversispora spurca, Dentiscutata heterogama, Septoglomus deserticola, and Ambispora leptoticha can use as the preponderant AM fungi species for the cultivation of mycorrhizal seedlings of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis.

ABSTRACT

AIM To investigate the accumulation differences of polyphyllins Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅵ and Ⅶ in Paris polyphylla Smith var.polyphylla and Paris polyphylla Smith var.yunnanensis (Franch.) Hand.-Mazz..METHODS The contents of four polyphyllins in the roots, leaves and stems of P.polyphylla were determined by HPLC.The fingerprints of twenty batches of samples were established.Cluster analysis was adopted in the evaluation of accumulation differences of various polyphyllins in different parts of two kinds of plants.RESULTS There were significant differences in various polyphyllins' contents and total contents in different populations of P.polyphylla (P < 0.05,P < 0.01).Polyphyllin Ⅵ was not detected in the roots, and the average contents of polyphyllins Ⅰ and Ⅱ were the highest. The polyphyllin Ⅶ' s average content and total content were the highest in the leaves.Only polyphyllin Ⅶ was detected in the stems, and the total content was the lowest. The similarities of roots of P.polyphylla and P.polyphylla var.yunnanensis were high, while those of leaves and stems were low.According to the total contents of polyphyllins in different parts, the samples could be divided into three types.CONCLUSION P.polyphylla can be considered as the substitute of P.polyphylla var.yunnanensis.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To compare 4 polyphyllins contents in Paris polyphylla planted under walnut forest in different areas of Yun-nan Yangbi. Methods:Paris polyphylla samples planted under walnut forest were collected in different areas of Yunnan Yangbi, and according to the methods described in Chinese Pharmacopoeia (2015 edition), the contents were determined. Results:Yunnan Yangbi different planted in Paris polyphylla four polyphyllins content of each sample there were significant differences between samples were cultivated in imitation of the wild forest, but the cultivation of varying lengths of time, the growth period of 4 to 5 years in Paris polyphylla four polyphyllins content was significantly higher than that of 3 born in Paris polyphylla. Conclusion: Four kinds of Paris polyphylla saponin content of the samples have significant differences with the Paris polyphylla growth of ecological environment, growth period and the same species living on different populations, the genetic background.
